Fundación DECYR is formed by natural and social scientists, theologians, philosophers, educators, artists and students of different fields.

The foundation started after three years of activities in Metanexus La Plata Local Society.  Metanexus (www.metanexus.net) is an institution that fosters working groups on science and religion throughout the world. Fundación DECYR was created in 2006. Its original board was formed by: Dr. Lucio Florio (president), Translator Gabriela Verónica Sureda (secretary) y Professor Karina Carrizo (treasurer).

Since is beginnings, DECYR has worked together with CECIR from Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), directed by Eugenio Urrutia Albisúa, MBA.
