  This subcontinent, privileged in biodiversity, is also a life reservoir for the future.  The evolution of life can stop, be spoiled and fail if human beings do not readjust their technological powers and moderate their thirst for control.  The evolutionary theory in its different application areas has something to say as regards the future of the biosphere and the responsibility of the human beings for taking care of it.
